An adorable boy from the UK has gone viral with his rendition of ‘I Put a Spell on You’ from 1993 film, Hocus Pocus.
5-year-old Alfie Shields dressed up in a dressing gown, green blanket and red wig and belted out the tune from his living room.
His dad, Steven, 32, filmed his Saturday morning exploits and uploaded the video to Facebook.
The video was shared far and wide until eventually Bette Midler herself saw the amazing performance and shared it with her own followers on Twitter:
To get Bette Midler’s seal of approval at just 5 years old is no mean feat!
Mum Emma, 31, said they were blown away by the amazing reaction:
“As the hours went on we started to realise he was getting a lot of views and literally within 72 hours he had one million views.
Emma added: “The scene is probably one of the most popular parts of the movie [Hocus Pocus]. The wig he is wearing is actually the wig that Merida wears in the Disney movie Brave, but he asked me to put it in two buns on the top of his head like Bette Midler’s character Winifred.”
“We have been totally amazed by the response and completely overwhelmed with all of the amazing comments and private messages we have received, not to mention the hundreds of friend requests from people all over the world.”
Emma and Steven have set up a Facebook page for Alfie and have been sharing their little performer’s videos, old and new.
