According to police, the five-year-old was approached by a man between 5:15 and 6pm on Sunday afternoon in Denman Avenue, Wiley Park.
The man asked to join in the children’s game before allegedly leading the young girl away and indecently assaulting her behind a building.
The little girl escaped and told her parents who contacted police.
The man is described as Caucasian, aged under 30 and about 1.8m tall with a thin build.
He was wearing a cap, dark sunglasses, shorts and joggers at the time.
