True love knows no age, and this couple are determined that their 38 year age gap will not stop them from having a baby.
Max Delmege, 70, may already be a grandfather, but he and his 32 year old bride, Samantha, are undergoing IVF in order to have a longed for child together.
The former owner of the Manly Sea Eagles and his wife spoke openly to A Current Affair of their struggles to conceive and the hardships faced during the IVF process.
The couple’s first attempt at IVF was unsuccessful but Ms Delmege claims the process has only brought them closer together.
“No we aren’t the only couple who has been through it unsuccessfully and no we won’t be the last couple to either.
“Our aim is to make people aware. It’s a tough journey emotionally, mentally & physically. If you haven’t been down that road don’t judge others opinions & thoughts,” she wrote on Instagram.
The pair were trolled online after going public with their relationship last year, but Sam took to social media to hit back at critics.
“To us it feels real, it may not look right but we have so much love, we adore each other and we are happy within ourselves and our life.”
