The highly-anticipated video opens with a shot of the baby-faced teenagers during their X Factor days in 2010 and it’s easy to see just how much Harry Styles, 21, Niall Horan, 22, Zayn Malik, 23, Louis Tomlinson, 21, and Liam Payne, 22, have grown up!

In fact, just last week Louis became a first-time father. Yep, it’s been one hell of an adventure of these lovable lads.

Serving as a time capsule, the clip retraces the band’s epic rise to fame, world tours and exotic adventures from the past five years before flashing forward with footage from the present day.

“You and me got a whole lot of history. We could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen.”

“Mini bars, expensive cars, hotel rooms, and new tattoos. And the good champagne, and private planes,” they sing.

Way back when! History opens with this powerful image of the then five-member band from their X Factor days in 2010.

Many are billing the track as their final swan song but according to the now four-member group, following Zayn’s departure last year, say they will be back in the not too distant future.

“We’re getting a break soon – we’ve been hammering it out for five years, five tours, five albums. When you stop you’re like: ‘Whoa,’” Niall recently said.

“This is a good time for it, we are at a good age to stop for a minute. We’ll come back in a year or so,” the Irish-born star promised.

Watch the boys belt it out for the very last time (until who knows when) in the player above!

Ready to relax! After five years travelling around the world Louis, Niall, Harry and Liam are taking a well-deserved break.
