This viral sensation titled “Baby Loves Cat” is a video that’s been melting hearts worldwide. The clip shows a darling bub in her crib as mum brings in the family cat for a visit. Cue the BIGGEST smile we’ve ever seen!
The adorable baby can barely contain her excitement as she flails her limbs around with sheer joy.
Despite the little cherub being in a sleeping sack – not even the clothing could stop the euphoric happiness the pint-sized cutie experienced, as their furry friend came around for a visit.
The little baby is head over heels, her face lighting up with joy.
We can’t get enough of her little giggles and coos as she squirms.
At one point, her mum places the cat in her crib, and the baby gets so excited that she starts snorting, something we all can relate to!
Mum, Kaitlin Merkley has since commented on YouTube that her daughter’s love for their cat is, well, a little out of control. “She’s incapable of controlling her limbs when her kitty is around,” she wrote. “The obsession grows every day.”
Like us, many that have watched the video have fallen for the feline and baby.
User Katie Bastian wrote: “I die. Every time. How can you not be happy while watching this?! Love that baby!”
While Kally Schubert said: “This is how I, a fully grown adult, act when I see a kitty.”
There has been some backlash with a few viewers questioning the ‘safety’ of the kitty with the baby.
Like a lion protecting her young, Kaitlin quickly shut down all chatter by commenting on the matter.
“Hello everyone. This is my video, that’s my baby, and I’m the mother in the video. I’ve gotta say, this video has been passed around the Internet, and the only really horrible comments are on this article. That makes me sad,” the young mum admitted.
Before continuing, “My baby is almost a year and very capable of rolling over and has lots of room to move in her very large sleep sack. That is a mesh crib bumper, and baby is completely able to breathe through it. Cat and baby have grown up together and love each other very much. Cat can sometimes get annoyed, but she’s always very sweet, gentle, loving, and protective to our baby.”
The doting mum added: “The baby’s door is always shut when she sleeps and the cat is not allowed in there. This is a one-time thing. Cats don’t steal baby’s breath. If you don’t like cats, don’t watch videos about cats. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all :)”
Paws up for Kaitlin!
