Taking to Facebook (duh!) the social media genius revealed, “Priscilla and I have some exciting news, we’re expecting a baby girl!”
The billionaire touchingly added: “We’ve already been so fortunate for the opportunity to touch people’s lives around the world — Cilla [nickname for Priscilla] as a doctor and educator, and me through this community and philanthropy.
Now we’ll focus on making the world a better place for our child and the next generation.”
Mark, 31, married his doctor wife Priscilla,30, in 2012 went onto to reveal to his 33 million followers that the pair have faced their fair share of challenges prior to the happy news.
“We’ve been trying to have a child for a couple of years and have had three miscarriages along the way,” he explained.
The parents-to-be first met in 2002 at a college frat party!
In a rare candid moment for the entrepreneur, he told his loyal audience: “You feel so hopeful when you learn you’re going to have a child. You start imagining who they’ll become and dreaming of hopes for their future. You start making plans, and then they’re gone. It’s a lonely experience.”
Before adding: “Most people don’t discuss miscarriages because you worry your problems will distance you or reflect upon you — as if you’re defective or did something to cause this. So you struggle on your own.”
“We hope that sharing our experience will give more people the same hope we felt and will help more people feel comfortable sharing their stories as well,” he said.
The statement was paired with a photo of the couple beaming with pride along with their gorgeous dog, Beast (Lupo, you’ve got competition!).
Mark and Priscilla are reportedly worth well over $33 billion, however choose to live a seemingly modest life.
The pair, who met at a frat party during their Harvard days, have been very generous with their fortune handing out money to numerous charities and setting up some of their own.
