A café in Hobart has come under fire after a customer complained about the price of their babychinos.
Beaujangles Café in Elizabeth Mall, Hobart charges $3.50 for a babycino – a fancy term for a small cup of hot milk and froth, popular for children.
However, the cafes owner, Leah Vigolo said there was no way she would charge anything for a plain babychino but she does for her “deluxe babychino.”
“Our special babycinos come with milk and chocolate froth, white and milk chocolate chunks, lollies and sprinkles,” Ms Vigolo told The Mercury.
“Our special babycino is a mini delight on a plate,” she said.
“Kids actually dictate to their parents where they want to go in the city, and it’s important to introduce something different for them.”
The complaint has since been deleted from Facebook.
What do you think? Should cafes charge for babychinos?
