Police have revealed that the woman who abandoned her two-day-old son on a stranger’s doorstep claiming she was only 14 is in fact “an adult” over the age of 18.
The Daily Mail has reported that the mother attended Griffith Hospital on Tuesday morning. Police have confirmed that the mother and baby are both “safe and well”.
The woman remains at the hospital and is receiving support from hospital staff and community services.
The baby was discovered on the doorstep of a Griffith couple with a note that read: “’please look after him, he is beautiful, and I cannot look after him because I am only 14 years old … my parents will kill me.’
