It’s what every person dreads. Their parent forgetting who they are.
But for a moment, Kelly Gunderson got to relive a time when her mother remembered her. And she happened to get it on film, too.
Gunderson posted the video with her 87-year-old mother on Youtube, which over nine million people have viewed since August.
Titled “God’s Gift” the footage captures the 87-year-old’s confused revelation her daughter is laying beside her.
“Well I love Kelly. Didn’t I name you Kelly? I love you Kelly,” says the Alzheimers sufferer.
Gunderson captioned the video with the line: “My 87 year old mother with Alzheimer’s knew who I was, even if just for a moment.”
It’s now a beautiful moment not only Gunderson has witnessed, but the rest of the world, too.
