One of small joys of Christmas is standing back and admiring your tree but one Victorian woman got the fright of her life when she noticed a potentially deadly ornament she didn’t hang; a live tiger snake!
The Frankston woman found the snake had slithered into her home and hidden in her tree to escape the heat at the weekend.
Professional snake catcher, Barry Goldsmith, was called to come and retrieve the highly venomous snake and told of how the woman remained calm in spite of the shock find.
“This lady was pretty cool,” Goldsmith told the Herald Sun. “I’ve had [people] screaming and crying.”
Goldsmith reportedly released the tiger snake into the wild after getting it from the tree.
