Found: Missing Gold Coast boy Koby Chandler safe and well

A seven-year-old boy who went missing on the Gold Coast yesterday has been found safe.

Queensland police have found missing boy Koby Chandler.

Authorities were seeking urgent public assistance to help locate the seven-year-old who was last seen at Joan Street, Southport at 4pm.

Neighbours along Joan St have been urged to search their backyards and garden sheds for the boy who was last seen wearing a Southport State School uniform which consists of a light blue polo shirt, dark blue shorts and grey shoes.

Koby is described as 120-125cm tall, with blonde shaved hair.

PolAir, SES and locals all joined the desperate search last night.

Investigators have set up a mobile command site outside the boy’s home.

“Police continue to search the area into the morning with SES volunteers to return at first light,” a police statement said.
