An unemployed man from Western Sydney won the Powerball and you still have to go to work today

"I don't even know how many zeros are in $50 million" - us neither, mystery man.

How did you go in the powerball this week?

Well, we know you didn’t win because an unemployed guy from Western Sydney was the sole division one winner.

The only winner. Just him. Which means he took away the eye-watering sum of $50 million prize all to himself.

The man wishes to remain anonymous, because duh – imagine how many “long-lost relatives” would pop out of the woodwork?

When NSW Lotteries rung him up to tell him the good news about the first ticket he ever bought, he thought someone was having a laugh.

“No. No. No. Don’t tell me that. Are you serious man? I’ll probably faint,” the man said to the caller, according to NSW Lotteries.

“I don’t know what to do. What should I do now? Should I call my mum? Should I hug my wife? What do I do?”

In possibly the sweetest reaction ever, he described the win as: “life changing! I don’t even know how many zeros are in $50 million.”

The man, aged in his 30s, said he had been unemployed since the end of last year and he and his wife had been discussing what their struggling family would do enxt when he received the fateful phone call.

“We were just sitting discussing what to do with our lives next – what to do with our future. It’s just a blessing I would say,” he said.

As for what he’s going to do with the money? He’ll share with family, friends and charities.

“I genuinely want to help people – so some sort of charity.

“I want to open a restaurant – that’s my passion – and give 50% of the food away for free to people who need it.

“I don’t need profits, but there are homeless, students who are struggling, and people in need.”

Could he be any sweeter?

And because we know you’re interested, he bought the ticket online – welcome to 2017.
