A toddler left her home in Britain and began walking alone to kindergarten to tell the teachers that her mother had died.
The Mirror reports reports that an off-duty police officer saw the child gamely making her way along the footpath earlier this week.
When he stopped to ask what she was doing, the child said she was “going to nursery” because she “can’t wake mummy up”.
The girl led him back to her home in Trent, where her mum, Nicolla Rushton, 30, was discovered dead. There are no suspicious circumstances.
The little girl is now safe with family.
