Tiahleigh Palmer’s foster brother Trent Thorburn has been bashed twice in prison since he was taken into custody after being accused of incest with the dead schoolgirl, reports the Courier Mail.
Thorburn, 19, was allegedly assaulted by fellow inmates who were jeered on by a crowd taunting “pretty boy” and “kill him”.
The teen was arrested last Tuesday, along with his father, mother and brother on various charges related to the slain girl.
It is alleged that Rick Thorburn, Tiahleigh’s foster father, murdered the 12-year-old after finding out his son had been having sex with her in their Chambers Flat home and he killed her because he feared his son would go to prison.
The body of Tiahleigh Palmer was found on the banks of the Pimpama River on Queensland’s Gold Coast in November 2015, six days after she was reported missing by the Thorburns.
Trent Thorburn is reportedly being kept in an area of the jail for high-risk prisoners, including accused paedophiles and high-profile inmates and the Courier Mail reports that he was treated for non-serious injuries at the prison infirmary.
