Superintendent Stuart Bateson told reporters “we don’t know why, we don’t know how” the car entered lake.

Supt Bateson said police were unsure if the vehicle was being driven erratically before entering the lake.

“It is pretty early in our investigation,” he said.

“What we do know is that we have a very tragic set of circumstances here and it is going to be a very harrowing investigation.”

Siblings (L-R) one-year-old Bol, four-year-old Anger and her twin Madit died after the crash.
