A teenage girl who was allegedly raped at a house party only learned of the assault when a video was posted on social media.
The 15-year-old girl was asleep at a Bellevue Hill house party in Sydney’s east earlier this month when she was allegedly sexually assaulted while the accused’s friend reportedly filmed it on his phone.
Teachers at Sydney’s elite Cranbrook School reportedly alerted police after hearing the students discussing the incident and the footage had been distributed amongst at least 50 school students.
A 15-year-old boy appeared before the Children’s Court in Glebe yesterday and pled not guilty to his charges, which were filming a young person committing a sexual act on another young person without their consent, producing child abuse material on his mobile phone and distributing that material on social media, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The accused did however agree the AVO conditions which restrict him from approaching and contacting the victim or her school in the eastern suburbs.
The alleged rapist is understood to be voluntarily interviewed by detectives on Tuesday.
The school is yet to comment on reports that he is no longer a student at Cranbrook.
