A “glamorous” husband and wife are two of three people arrested as part of a drug bust in Hornsby yesterday.
The bust comes following an ongoing investigation into the movement of the drug ice in Sydney.
Searching the trio’s homes in Hornsby and Asquith respectively, police reportedly found 36kg of methamphetamine, more than 100 phials of steroids, $260,000 in cash, luxury cars, and a cash counting machine.
The husband and wife have been identified as Iranian refugees, in Australia on temporary protection visas since 2013.
A short look through the couple’s Facebook pages shows the pair were married in 2014 and now have two children both aged under 5-years.
The duo has been arrested and charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and participating in a criminal enterprise.
The third individual has been charged as an accessory after the fact.
All three face court on Thursday.
