On April 22, 2015, a funeral service was held for 26-year-old Stephanie Scott, who was brutally slain by now-convicted murdered, Vincent Stanford on Easter Sunday.
Her funeral was held in the same place where she was due to marry her fiancé Aaron Leeson-Woolley.
Now today, 18 months since the horror of Stephanie’s death ripped through the nation, the Scott family faced another heartbreakingly difficult task: they bid farewell to Stephanie’s father, Bob Scott, who was killed by a falling tree on November 1.
It had been reported that emergency services were called to a property at Canowindra in the state’s central west just before midday on November 1, where they found the body of a man in his sixties, which has been confirmed as Mr Scott.

Three weeks prior to his tragic death, Mr Scott, 59, stood by his wife Merrilyn’s side as she fronted court to deliver her victim impact statement during Stanford’s sentencing.
“So much pain has been caused, and so much damage done,” Merrilyn said.
“Enough has been taken from us, and let this be an end to it. It is time to celebrate our daughter’s life, to dwell on all the good things, to remember her humanity and her love of life.”
We are sending our deepest condolences to the Scott family during this difficult time.
