Today, Stephanie Scott would have been 27 years old and her mother has asked for people to commemorate the day by having a cup of tea at 3pm.
In a Facebook post, Stephanie’s sister Kim passed on the request from her mother to remember Stephanie, using the hashtag #Teaforsteph
“To the girl who defines the word ‘fun-loving’, happy birthday. I’m so proud to call you my little sister. And although you may not be here, I’m sure you’ll be sprinkling a few hundreds and thousands in heaven today. xxx,” Kim posted.
In April this year, the English and drama teacher disappeared from the school she worked at in the NSW town of Leeton, less than a week before she was due to marry her childhood sweetheart, Aaron Leeson-Wooley.
Put the kettle on and have a cup of tea for Stephanie.
