The identical twin brother of Vincent Stanford – who is accused of killing Leeton school teacher Stephanie Scott – will appear in a Sydney court this afternoon.

24-year-old Marcus Stanford will appear at Central Local Court this afternoon and will be accused of being an accessory to murder as police allege Marcus received items related to the case in the mail from his brother, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

Fairfax reports Vincent sent his brother a number of items “connected to the case” in the mail.

Marcus’ identical twin brother, Vincent Stanford, 24, is accused of murder and aggravated sexual assault of the Leeton school teacher.

Police arrested Marcus Stanford on Wednesday morning at his home in Forreston, South Australia.

After appearing in a local court he has been extradited to New South Wales.

Popular school teacher Stephanie disappeared on Easter Sunday after staying back at school to finish lesson plans before her wedding to childhood sweetheart and partner of five years, Aaron Leeson-Woolley.

Her body was found on April 10, the day before she was due to get married and Vincent Stanford was charged with her murder.

Updates to come.
