After pulling her unconscious twins from the family pool just days before Christmas, distraught mother-of-six Fleur Manago has been forced to say goodbye to her second twin, Robbie, who died three days after his sister Charli.
Mrs Manago discovered the two 23-month-olds in the pool underwater at around 7pm on December 20 at her Kellyville Ridge home in Sydney’s northwest. A neighbour performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
The children were then rushed to Westmead Children’s Hospital and admitted in a critical condition.
Charli lost her fight for life on Boxing Day while Robbie hung on for a few more days, but sadly joined his sister on December 29.
Police have said the family’s pool met all safety requirements, with the children out of sight for only a short time.
We are sending our deepest condolences to the Manago family during this difficult time.
