Schapelle Corby has dismissed claims that she’ll be in the latest installment of Britain’s Celebrity Big Brother as “false news”.
Tucked away in the comments section, Corby replied to questions from followers about whether she was appearing on Big Brother UK.
“Not true at all. First I’ve heard of it. I just googled. False News,” she replied with a quizzical face chucked in the mix.
The fact that literally no one who had just been released from prison would voluntarily return to living in a house they can’t leave is probably enough to discredit this rumour alone.
News Corp’s “exclusive” reported that Corby had already applied for a network-sponsored working visa, and it was the company behind Big Brother that had paid for her extravagant security operation to get her back to Australian shores.
Private Sydney debunked similar rumours that Schapelle would be appearing in a new series of Britain’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
It’s bizarre so many of the rumours place Schapelle in British TV shows because, as her friend told PS, “No one knows her in England so I don’t see how that could be the case”.
Her sister Mercedes also laughed off the claims as “a load of crap”.
But the most perplexing part of this whole story is why Mercedes finished her caption with: “Mum makes the best hot tomato sauce lets call this sauce dumbmato!”
^ What does that even mean?
Endemol Shine’s London communications boss Rae Langford told News Corp that, “We don’t comment on speculation” which is a truly fantastic way of saying, “If this will drum up free promo for our program then who am I to shut it down?”
