Byron Bay woman Sara Connor and her British boyfriend David Taylor have been taken to Kuta Beach to engage in a re-enactment of the night Bali police officer Wayan Sudarsa was bashed to death.
It was the first time in almost two weeks the couple came face-to-face with each other and the pair, dressed in orange jumpsuits, mimed a kiss on the ocean shore as part of the reconstruction, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
The beach was crowded with police and media as they watched the victim was played by a police officer and witnesses as themselves.
The re-enacting a crime is a normal part of police investigation in Indonesia and it is a chance for Conner and Taylor to show what they believe happened on the night they crossed with the traffic policeman.
Denpasar police station Hadi Purnomo told media there was a “slight difference” in the statements but “all will be seen” after the reconstruction, reports the SMH.
