The man who planned the Paris attacks is dead.
French police say they have shot and killed the so-called mastermind of the attacks, and identified his body through fingerprints.
News Ltd reports that Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who gave up his life at the age of just 27 for this madness, had been linked to two other terror plots.
‘He died alongside a woman who reportedly called for help and then blew herself up with a suicide vest,’ the report says.
‘He also linked to the thwarted attacks in a Paris-bound high-speed train and a church near the French capital earlier this year.’
A wave of threats continues to haunt the world, with Germany forced to cancel a soccer match between Germany and the Netherlands on Tuesday night.
Germany’s Bild newspaper says the match was actually called off after it was discovered that explosives had been smuggled into the stadium in ambulances; and that terrorists planned to film the bombing as it took place from inside the stadium.
ISIS has also threatened to attack New York City, releasing a video that show a terrorist making a homemade bomb as images of Times Square, and a TGI Friday’s restaurant near Fifth Ave are shown.
New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo said: “I encourage all New Yorkers to remain alert and report any suspicious activity, while at the same time not letting this disrupt their daily lives. Remember that the terrorists’ goal is to let fear win — New Yorkers never have, and we never will.”
