Media mogul and Australian TV legend Reg Grundy has died, aged 92.
Reg passed away peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife Joy in their Bermuda home yesterday. The cause of his death is not yet known.
He was famous for producing some of Australia’s most famous TV shows including Neighbours, Wheel of Fortune and Sale of the Century.
He also developed iconic dramas including Prisoner, The Young Doctors and Sons and Daughgters.
By the 1980s, Grundy was so well known his name became part of Australian rhyming slang, with people commonly referring to their underwear as “Reggies” or “Grundies”, something Grundy was reportedly very proud of.
