In 2006 when the movie Snakes on a Plane came out, critics called the concept “far-fetched” and “ridiculous”. They should have been on Flight 231 from Torreon, Coahuila, to Mexico City on the weekend.
Local airline Aeromexico has confirmed that there was a snake incident – and a video posted on Twitter also confirmed it.
The video so fabulously captures the moment the plane’s reptilian stow-away decided to make it’s presence felt, dropping into the cabin from behind the overhead luggage compartment.
The airline also confirmed that the plane was allowed to make an expedited landing so animal control could board and “secure the reptile”, according to Fox News.
The large-ish green snake and already been restrained apparently by Indalecio Medina, who posted the video, and another passenger using a blanket and some magazines – where was Samuel L. Jackson with his blowtorch when you needed him?
The airline has reported that it’s investigating how the snake got into the airplane and is taking measures to avoid it happening in the future.
