Jamie Cox, 15, was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after playing ‘black out’ – a game where one person is choked in a headlock for as long as they can.
The Courier Mail reports he passed out, fracturing his skull as he landed on the ground.
He’s currently at Gold Coast University Hospital, where he’s undergone emergency surgery for the injuries.
His father Rodney took to Facebook to share an update on Jamie’s progress.
“Surgery was a success and although not quite out of the woods, he is fairly alert and responsive at this stage. Further scans and tests to come.”
We wish him a speedy recovery.
