NSW High schools in lockdown after threats

Police are aware of numerous threats made to schools in the Metropolitan and Southern Regions.

Up to five NSW schools are currently in lockdown after reportedly receiving threats.

Schools in Penrith, Richmond, Woolaware, Ulladulla and Mona Vale have all reportedly been evacuated after getting threats.

It is so far unclear what the nature of the threats are but the Police NSW Facebook page released this statement just after 12pm:

“Police are aware of numerous threats made to schools in the Metropolitan and Southern Regions.

Investigations are continuing, and police are liaising with the Department of Education.

Police are warning that making such threats is a serious criminal offence and every effort will be made to identify the person or persons responsible.”
