The drama at Wimbledon hasn’t ended yet, and it seems Nick Kyrgios isn’t the only one causing it.
Novac Djokovic has reduced a ball girl to tears, after losing his temper near her while struggling in the fifth set against Kevin Anderson.
The world number one has since claimed he will apologise to the ball girl, explaining it wasn’t about her at all.
“There was nothing towards her,” Djokovic said after the match.
“Maybe she was just afraid of my screaming there.
“I was pretty close to her. I’m definitely going to try to apologise to her if I did something wrong.”
It’s not the first time the Serbian’s lost his temper too close to the on court help, with the 28-year-old apologising to a ball boy in April for yelling while snatching a towel.
Despite the on court dramas, Djokovic claimed victory over Anderson in a 6-7, 6-7, 6-1, 6-4, 7-5 win.
The Serbian will now face Marin Cilic in the quarter finals.
