Aussie tennis player Nick Kyrgios has lashed out at spectator in the middle of his Hopman Cup match against World No. 2 player, Andy Murray.
“Are you playing?” Kyrgios asked the spectator.
“Do you want to come down here and play?”
“You just sit in your comfy chair. You just sit in your comfy seat and watch.”
Kyrgios went on to win the match 6-4 7-6 (7-5) and said after the match that he was happy to have finally beaten Murray.
“He’s in the prime of his career and he’s been playing some great tennis,” Kyrgios said on Channel 7.
“Every time I’ve played him I haven’t played bad, he’s just a great player. I knew what my game plan was going to be.”
“I knew how he was going to play. I actually did promise a couple of my friends next time I played Andy I was going to beat him. So, there you go.”
“It was nothing different really. Just play big and back myself. You know, I’ve improved a lot.”
“I’ve put a lot of work in the off season and I guess it’s just more hard work and playing the clutch points a bit better.”
