Students warned not to have multiple sex partners lest you become ‘like sticky tape’

Having multiple sex partners is almost like tape that loses its stickiness after being applied and removed multiple times. So the more you have the harder it is to bond to the next.

1. Year seven girls attending a holiday camp at a Victorian high school have been warned against having multiple sex partners lest they become like “overused sticky tape.”

The Age reports that students attending the camp at Fairhills High School in Knoxfield were also told that girls are more needy than boys.

“A booklet titled ‘Science & Facts’, that was given to the students, said that ‘girls are needier than guys in a relationship and always want to be close’,” The Age report says.

“Having multiple sex partners is almost like tape that loses its stickiness after being applied and removed multiple times. So the more you have the harder it is to bond to the next.”

The booklet was given out during a youth program run by Epic Youth, which is part of a Pentecostal megachurch called CityLife.

The Age quotes a mother of one of the students, who did not want to be named, saying she was shocked when her daughter came home with the booklet last week.

“You try so hard to teach girls not to be ashamed and not to feel like men can take liberties with them,” she said. “It is dangerous and unhealthy to teach this to girls, especially whilst they’re going through adolescence.”

Fairfax Media reports that Belle, 23, is facing legal action brought by Victoria’s consumer watchdog, Consumer Affairs Victoria.

The founder of The Whole Pantry is being investigated for “fundraising fraud and allegations of misleading and deceptive conduct.”

The Fairfax report says: “On Thursday, Consumer Affairs Victoria appeared in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court to demand Ms Gibson answer questions about her health and provide proof she made the charitable donations.”

The report says that Magistrate Michael Smith granted Ms Gibson a one week extension, until July 9, to answer CAV’s questions.

“Ms Gibson, who did not appear in court, has claimed to give away “almost all profits” from her business and held two fundraising drives in which she solicited thousands of dollars in donations from her army of online followers.”

3. An inquiry is underway into how a senior nurse at a US hospital dropped a newborn baby, fracturing his skull.

WXPI-TV reports that the baby’s mum, Jacqueline Hunt, was told that the nurse was feeding and burping her one-day-old son, Eli, at Uniontown Hospital in Pennsylvania when she “fell asleep and dropped him.”

Uniontown Hospital spokesman Josh Krysak said the baby is expected to recover. He is being treated at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

“We are aware that testing revealed a minimally displaced skull fracture, but we also know that all indications given to us point to a full recovery,” Krysak said.

The nurse remains employed and has not been suspended or placed on leave, Krysak said. The hospital is conducting an internal review of what happened.

“We’re supporting the nurse completely, and we recognize her dedication to her job,” he said. “There is absolutely no indication that there was any malice or intent involved.”

4. A polygamist has applied for a marriage licence in the US, saying a recent decision by the US Supreme Court to extend marriage rights to same-sex couples should also apply to him.

CNN reports that Nathan Collier of Montana wants to be legally married to his current wife, Victoria, and his girlfriend, Christine.

The threesome have been in a relationship for more than 10 years and have seven children together.

Collier says he went to the Yellowstone County Courthouse and told the clerk: “Marry us – if the Supreme Court OK’d “gay” unions, then we should be allowed to join together in holy polygamy.”

“It’s about marriage equality,” said Collier.

County officials didn’t immediately issue the licence, saying they would have to consult with lawyers.

Mr Collier and his partners have appeared on the reality show, Sister Wives.

“We just want to add legal legitimacy to an already happy, strong, loving family,” he said.

“My second wife, Christine, who I’m not legally married to, she’s put up with my crap for a lot of years. She deserves legitimacy.”
