1. A MAN has been arrested after breaking into a house and hiding under the daughter’s bed for three days.

The ABC reports that the man, Jason Hubbard entered the family’s home while the owner was taking out the garbage, and made his way to the daughter’s vacant bedroom.

He hid under the bed for several days, charging his four cell phones with a nearby electrical outlet.

Home owner, Margaret Adamcewicz, says Hubbard dated her daughter, who has since moved out, five years ago, before disappearing from their lives.

“He was hiding upstairs underneath the bed, in my daughter’s bedroom,” Adamcewicz said, “He used to date my daughter five years ago…It didn’t end well…He didn’t say why he came back. He just picked our house to hide out in. He didn’t have a home to live in.”

“I don’t think he was eating,” Margaret said, “I think he just had water under the bed.”

Upon discovering Hubbard under the bed, she called police. He has since been charged with theft of electricity and burglary.

The book has been developed from 16 black-and-white illustrations and text found in a box in Dr Seuss’s office.

The illustrations were found by Dr Seuss’s wife, Ms. Audrey Geisel, who is 93.

Dr Seuss – whose real name was Theodor Geisel wrote and illustrated 44 children’s books, including The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Yertle the Turtle and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

Lotterywest reports that the $50 million win is the largest in WA Lotto history.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with tonight’s result which has rewritten WA’s history books,” Lotterywest CEO Paul Andrew said.

“This win does not only hold an incredible $50 million prize, it’s also our 50th division one Lotto winner for this year.”

4. The drunk driver who killed an eight-month-old baby boy when she crashed into his Perth bedroom in 2013 has walked free after serving less than two years behind bars.

Eight-month-old Nate was asleep in his nursery when Melissa Waters, who had a blood alcohol reading of 0.17 at the time, ploughed into the side of his house, killing him.

Waters was sentenced to three years and eight months after she pled guilty to manslaughter, but has recently been released from prison after serving less than than 22 months of her sentence.

Waters has been criticised for taking “back door” to freedom.

Nate’s mother, Stacy, has spoken out, saying she is ‘disappointed’ in her release, “How are the parole board going to be able to guarantee me and the community that she’s not going to revert back to her old ways if she’s put back into the same environment.”

“I feel that if she had spent longer in jail then that’s more time to change her ways. I really just don’t see how that short amount of time is going to be able to change someone … to change those things that are so ingrained and that have taken a long time to get that way,” said Mrs Dunbar.
