A 21-year-old woman has refused to apologise for posting a photo of a child with Down syndrome locked in a washing machine on Facebook

1. A woman who posted a distressing picture of a young boy with Down Syndrome inside a washing machine has refused to apologize, saying it was ‘a bit of a laugh.’

Police questioned Courtney Stewart, 21, after she posted the above picture of the boy – who she was looking after at the time – on her Facebook page.

Media reports say Courtney claims the boy “loves the washing machine. We took a picture and it was a laugh.”

She said the boy was “clearly laughing” in the picture and criticized whoever reported her to police.

“What did they think I was doing to him? Taking him for a spin?’ she said.

“He’s got a bit of a washing obsession. Anyone who knows him would know he’s got a washing obsession.

“I don’t know who reported it. I don’t really know why they would do that. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.

“They shouldn’t be able to call the police anonymously.

“The police know who it was and I don’t think it’s at all fair that they can’t tell me.”

The reaction of the boy’s Mum isn’t yet known.

2. Can anyone lend a dollar to rapper 50 Cent?

Believe it or not, the rapper is in court this week, claiming to be broke.

That’s news to Fifty’s Instagram followers. He regularly posts pictures of himself in flashy cars, covered in gold jewellery, which is the rapper way.

However, News Ltd reports that Fifty’s “over-the-top displays of wealth — the bling, the Lamborghinis, Bentleys and Rolls Royces — are all smoke and mirrors.”

“Those cars were rented,” the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, told a court in Manhattan.

“It’s like music videos, you see all these fancy cars but everything goes back to the dealership,” he added.

The rings, the chains are ‘borrowed from the jeweller’ and the watch is plastic.

His testimony comes as a jury is deciding how much the rapper has to pay to a woman whose private sex video he posted online.

One jury has already ordered Jackson to pay $5 million to the woman, Lastonia Leviston, 33, but she’s seeking more.

3. Donald Trump Vs Rupert Murdoch

Donald Trump is surging in the polls for US president but he does not enjoy the support of Rupert Murdoch.

Murdoch yesterday launched a Twitter attack on Trump, saying: “When is Donald Trump going to stop embarrassing his friends, let alone the whole country?”

The Tweet came after Trump attacked American hero John McCain for having been captured as a pilot during the Vietnam War.

The Murdoch-owned The Wall Street Journal lashed Trump last week, saying he would be a “catastrophe’ for America.

Trump responded on Twitter, saying the Journal ‘looks like a tabloid.’

Trump has been trumpeting his wealth this week, claiming he’s worth $10 billion, which would make him the richest man ever to run for President.

4. It has been four long decades since Ali McGraw and Ryan O’Neal fell in love on screen, and they are still hot for each other.

People magazine reports that the stars of Love Story will reunite in a two-character play Love Letters at Fort Lauderdale’s Broward Center for the Performing Arts this week.

It is first time they’ve acted together since Love Story.

“It feels so great to be reunited,” MacGraw, 76, tells People.

“Our chemistry has not changed. We still feel the same about each other.”

In Love Story, O’Neal played Oliver, a wealthy college student who gives up his inheritance to marry Jenny (MacGraw), a fellow student from a poor background.

Just as they’re ready to start a family, the couple learns that Jenny is dying of leukemia.

The tragic romance was the highest-grossing film of 1970, and made an iconic couple of O’Neal and McGraw. In real life, the two never dated — though O’Neal, 74, says he has harbored a longtime crush on his co-star.

“We are more than friends,” he told People.

“She is like my sister, only she had better lock her door at night so I can’t get in there. We have some unfinished business, and we are running out of time!”
