Murderer keeps phone up his bottom for 12 days

He just wanted to use it to update his Facebook page.

Triple murderer Kon Georgiou has finally passed the mobile phone that has been voluntarily stuck up his bottom for 12 days.

The strain ended in an observation cell at the maximum-security Goulburn Supermax on Tuesday and has now been handed over to prison authorities, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Rebels bikie had gone on a hunger strike to keep the phone hidden following sightings of the prisoner using the phone in his cell, but it was soon detected via a Body Orifice Security Scanner (BOSS).

Georgiou claimed the detection was metalwork after a surgery and refused to remove it.

Corrective Services minister David Elliott said: “Georgiou will no doubt sleep a little more comfortably tonight. I’m delighted that he no longer has access to a mobile phone and will remain in isolation in Supermax.”

Georgiou was convicted for shooting dead three members of the Bandido bikie gang in a nighclub in 2003.

He has previously been caught using a phone in prison before, purely for perusing and updating his Facebook page.
