It has been reported that emergency services were called to a property at Canowindra in the state’s central west just before midday, where they found the body of a man in his sixties, which has been confirmed as Scott.

This comes as another devastating blow to the Scott family, whose daughter, school teacher Stephanie Scott, was murdered in April 2015 by Vincent Stanford.

Her body was found burnt in bushland just days before she was due to be married.

On October 13, Stanford was sentenced to life in prison for the murder and sexual assault of 26-year-old Stephanie.

Stephanie was due to be married just days after he body was found burnt in shrubland.

During the court proceedings, Bob was seen standing by his wife Merrilyn’s side, as well as supporting her as she fronted court to deliver her victim impact statement during Stanford’s sentencing.

“So much pain has been caused, and so much damage done,” Merrilyn said.

“Enough has been taken from us, and let this be an end to it. It is time to celebrate our daughter’s life, to dwell on all the good things, to remember her humanity and her love of life.”
