The mother of a man charged with the murder of 20-year-old Jody Meyers has been charged as an accessory to the crime, after police allege that she purchased 10 bags of cement in what may have been an attempt to cover up the young woman’s death.
Adelaide Now reports that Margaret Archer, 55, was charged after contacting her son, Neil Archer, in prison.
Police allege that Neil “encouraged” his mother to hide things from police.
The report says Margaret Archer is also accused of purchasing a $10 Optus phone card to send messages to Jody’s family after she had been killed.
Jody was last seen leaving a party with Neil Archer in August.
