The 77-year-old businessman, who has been involved in the Nine Network and Bond Corporation, flew back from his birthplace of London to undergo the triple by-pass operation and is currently in the intensive care unit.

Bond was previously stripped of his Officer of the Order of Australia honour and made to serve four years in prison after pleading guilty to two of the biggest corporate fraud cases in Australia’s history.

This story is still developing.

2. In an ABC television special Julia Gillard claims Rudd physically intimidated her.

Maybe you’re sick to death of the hatred, the bile and the squabbling over who gets to be Prime Minister that went on during the Labor years but bad luck.

It’s all coming back to TV.

The ABC has begun promoting ‘The Killing Season’ by releasing some early episodes to the newspapers which gleefully report that the documentary features Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard desperately hating on each other.

The enmity between these two destroyed the Labor government but they aren’t done destroying each other. The most serious accusation concerns Julia saying that Kevin intimidated her in a physical way during one of their endless arguments.

She says he was an aggressive bully. He says that’s ‘utterly false.’ She also accuses Rudd of being ‘fragile’ and perhaps not mentally equipped for the top job.

Part One of The Killing Season goes to air next Tuesday.

She’s now coasting well over two million followers, and counting, and she celebrated by tweeting: “Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who’da thought! Humbled & honored.”

After years of playing Dad to the Kardashian clan, Caitlyn is now living full time as a woman.

After breaking the internet with it’s Caitlyn cover yesterday, Vanity Fair has released some outtakes from Caitlyn’s first interview, in which she says that her 89-year-old “Mom” hasn’t met Caitlyn, but already likes her more than she liked Bruce.

“I’m sending a plane to go pick her up, because she’s 89 years old and cannot get on the airlines,” Caitlyn says. “We have to do this.”

She expects the meeting to go well, saying: “All the emotions are in the anticipation of meeting you. Once they meet you and they spend five minutes with you, they go, ‘Oh, O.K., I get it, big deal, let’s go on with life.’ ”

“And I think my mom will kind of be the same way, especially if Caitlyn keeps sending planes to pick her up.

“We had a conversation the other day, we were talking about a lot of things, and, you know, she goes, “You know what, I think I can have a better relationship with Caitlyn than I can with Bruce,” because we’ve always had a little tension in our relationship throughout the years. [. . .] And so when she ends the conversation, she goes, “O.K., good-bye, Caitlyn.” It was very funny, very cute.”

4. A new study by Deakin University claims that mothers are happier than women who don’t have children, right up until the age of 65.

After 65, a woman’s happiness seems to depend less on whether or not they have children.

It’s a controversial finding because the latest figures suggest that one-in-four Australian women won’t have children.

The study found that women aged between 25 and 44 who did not have children also suffered “more bodily pain, worse general health, more health-related limitations and poorer physical and social functioning compared to mothers.”

5. You know all those spy books and movie thrillers that suggest that the FBI and goodness knows who else are watching you? Turns out it’s true.

The AP news agency has discovered that the FBI operates its own secret air force, and that it flies dozens, and maybe even hundreds of small aircraft over US cities every day.

The planes are disguised under fake company names like ‘NBR Aviation’ and ‘QBR Aviation.’ They carry equipment that allows the FBI to track your movements using your cellphone.

The planes fly low enough to take video recordings of the people on the streets below.

If that doesn’t weird you out, the New York Times has unveiled its investigation into a Russian troll house, which employs thousands of people to leave anti-American comments on blogs, and Western news websites.

The so-called ‘Troll Army’ are paid to push a pro-Putin message on Facebook and Twitter. They also flood internet forums with propaganda.

The Times report says the trolls appear in avatars to be “well-dressed young men and women who live in large American cities, yet they seemed to have no real-life friends. Instead, they spent their free time leaving anti-Obama comments on the Facebook posts of American media outlets like CNN, Politico and Fox News.

The women were all very attractive — so attractive, indeed, that a search revealed that some of their profile photos had been stolen from models and actors.”

6. The rich are different, including in the way they propose to each other.

News.com.au is reporting that boxing wife beater, Floyd Mayweather, proposed to his now-ex, Shantel Jackson, by text.

And it wasn’t even a romantic text. Floyd apparently promised to get Shantel some gigs in three A-list movies as part of the deal.

“This is what I offer to you. Let’s get married move in together you can go back in forth to L.A and stay at the condo,” Mayweather wrote.

“I promise I will get you in 3 A list movies this year and I’m willing to go to counselling to make us work and you can get the stuff you want and I’m willing to change but I need you to have a better attitude.”

Jackson is now suing the boxer for assault, battery, defamation, invasion of privacy and harassment.

The pair split in 2014, after Mayweather accused Jackson of aborting their twin babies. He even posted the ultrasound pictures of their once beating hearts.

Ain’t love grand?
