Lindt Cafe in Martin Place vandalised

The Lindt Cafe in Martin Place, where the Sydney siege hostages were once held, has been vandalised overnight.

Months after the devastating Sydney Seige the Lindt Café in Martin Place has been vandalised, with rocks thrown through the windows the hostages once stood against.

A number of windows have large holes in them and a large rock was found near the glass doors of the café.

Channel 9 reports police believe the vandalism occurred this morning at 12:30am and after speaking to witnesses they are searching for one man.

The café only reopened in March after Man Haron Monis held a dozen people hostage on December 16.

An inquest into the siege is currently underway and the findings are expected to be delivered in early 2016.
