Former Home and Away and All Saints star Martin Lynes today appeared in Wyong Court over his charge of raping and assaulting a woman at his home on February 29.
The 48-year-old was charged with nine offences after becoming involved in an alleged dispute with a woman at his Central Coast home in Bateau Bay.
Leaving court, his lawyer Robert Locker said Lynes was successful in his requested changes to his bail conditions to allow him to return to his home.
“There was a preclusion (in conditions) that the defendant not go back to the premises at which he was residing,” Mr Locker said.
“Today’s hearing… was a change to those bail conditions so he can now return to the home.”
Mr Locker said Lynes has denied all allegations.
It was alleged in court that the former actor turned real estate agent had pulled the victim by the hair and banged her head on an iron bed base, according to the Central Coast Advocate.
It didn’t stop there. He also allegedly bit her the nose until it bled, before sexually and indecently assaulted her over a four-hour period.
Of the horrific incident, he was later charged with sexual assault, indecent assault, four counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and three counts of common assault.
Lynes will face court again on April 27.
