The 32-year-old male is believed to have stepped on the unknown “brown and green” snake while walking around the park.
The Sea World medical team administered first aid and called an ambulance and the man was transferred to Gold Coast University Hospital.
The area of the park where he was bitten has been closed to the public while a snake handler tries to identify and catch the snake.
“The safety and wellbeing of guests is the highest priority at Sea World and our highly trained staff undergo regular training for this type of scenario,” the theme park said in a statement.
The man is in a stable condition in hospital.
