Police have arrested a man in connection to the stabbing of a man and woman in North Queensland early Monday morning, however no charges have yet been laid.
The man and woman, who was holding a baby, were stabbed during a home invasion at Kuttabul, North Queensland, The Courier Mail reports.
The 23-year-old male resident found the offender in their backyard and confronted him at 12.15am.
The man, who was armed with a knife, then stabbed him in the torso before entering the home and confronting the 21-year-old woman who was cradling the baby boy.
Police said he stabbed her twice in the torso, causing her to drop the infant.
A teenage boy inside the house confronted the intruder, causing him to flee.
The two adults and baby were taken to Mackay Hospital for treatment, with police confirming the infant received minor injuries.
