The model and businesswoman was embroiled in a sex scandal overnight when gossip website RadarOnline published an old recording of her ex-boyfriend Tom Sizemore claiming he had set her up with Clinton in 1998.
“Ludicrously silly stories about me and Bill Clinton,” Hurley tweeted this morning. “Totally untrue. In the hands of my lawyers. Yawn.”
This was swiftly followed by a statement from Hurley’s lawyers promising retribution against anyone who published the claims as fact.
“These allegations are completely false and defamatory,” the statement read. “They were also published without any evidence whatsoever. As such, our client is considering legal action against any parties who have published or otherwise repeated the allegations.”
In the tape, Sizemore claimed he introduced Hurley and Clinton at the height of Clinton’s presidency. He said Clinton sent a plane to fly Hurley to Washington DC, where they spent four nights together.
Sizemore has since retracted the claims, insisting he was in the grips of a drug addiction at the time the tape was made, and offered an apology to Hurley and Clinton.
“It was the rantings of a guy that has been well-chronicled as having a very severe drug problem,” Sizemore told the Huffington Post. “I was like a drunk saying I was going to be on the Challenger next week … my perceptions were not the greatest!”
