The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services has issued an urgent recall of prepackaged lettuce in Victoria, New South Wales, ACT, Northern Territory and South Australia.
Vic Health has reportedly identified a number of cases of contamination to lettuce grown and packaged by Victorian company Tripod Farmers, reports the ABC.
There have been a reported 28 cases of salmonella have been diagnosed in Victoria with Tripod Farmers being the common link.
The lettuce is sold at Coles and Woolworths as Coles 4 Leaf Mix, Woolworths salad mix, SupaSalad Supamix and Wash N Toss salad mix.
Tripod farmers are advising anyone with products that have best before dates leading up to and including February 14 should either throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.
