Lady Renouf was well-known for her heavily publicised marriages to prominent Liberal politician Andrew Peacock, British gambling millionaire and racing identity Robert Sangster, and then New Zealand businessman Sir Frank Renouf.

She was admired for her love of fashion, hats and the glamorous life, and was looked upon as Australia’s version of Jackie Kennedy.

The socialite never once let her diagnosis bring her down, and always kept her sense of humour and love for the social life.

Lady Renouf has three daughters, Ann Peacock, Jane Chapple-Hyam and Caroline Cordeaux.

Long-time entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 3AW radio this morning: “She was a spirited woman, she was very brave, particularly in the last six weeks, she put up an extraordinary fight.”
