Kadek Mahardika – the 31-year-old actor who played Mandy McElhinney’s Balinese love interest in the hit AAMI ads – wed his 24-year-old Australian girlfriend Laura Jack in the same country he wooed Rhonda and won our hearts.
With their two-year-old daughter Mia as their flowergirl, the couple tied the knot in Nusa Dua before gushing about their big day in this week’s New Idea magazine.
Laura says she is completed besotted with her husband, who is exactly as he appears in the ads.
“Oh what you saw on the commercials is exactly how he is as a person. His smile, everything. It’s just him,” she said.
While his co-star Mandy went on to become a huge TV star, appearing in Paper Giants and Love Child, Kadek has quit acting and drives an excavator for a living.
“That story is over,” he said. “But my new life has just started.”
