John Laws, 80, was dining at Woolloomooloo’s China Doll when he reportedly leant on a table, which flipped, sending him crashing to the floor.
The restaurant’s manager helped Laws, a frequent customer, back to his nearby apartment and called an ambulance, reports News Limited.
The radio shock jock was taken to St Vincent’s where he was reportedly kept overnight before being released early yesterday morning.
It is believed he was not badly injured, just shaken and in need of observation.
It hasn’t been a good year for Laws’ health. His European holiday was cut short in February after he was struck down by chronic bronchitis that reportedly nearly killed him.
