The family of former Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, made headlines in recent weeks after it was revealed Hallie Biden, widow of Beau Biden, has found love with her deceased partner’s younger brother, Hunter Biden.
Joe and his wife Jill immediately came out and gave their blessing to Hallie and Hunter, who formed a close bond through grief after Beau Biden tragically died from brain cancer.
Now Joe’s brother Jim has also come out in support of the couple, saying the family is closer than ever.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Jim Biden said: “We take great pride in the fact that we have each other with all that’s going on in this world today. We are one homogeneous larger family, but each of our nuclear families are extremely close. Our family will not be broken.”
“We’re all just lucky through this tragedy … that Hunter has been absolutely dedicated to, through his nature, feel the obligation to take care of everybody,” says Jim, 67. “Hunter is a fixer, he tries to make right by everyone.”

According to Page Six reports, Hallie Biden, widow of former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s son Beau, is now in a relationship with her brother-in-law, Hunter.
Beau Biden passed away in 2015 aged 46 after a battle with brain cancer and is survived by Hallie, his daughter Natalie, 12, and, confusingly, his son, also Hunter, 10.
Hunter Biden and ex-wife Kathleen share three children: Finnegan, Maisy and Naomi.
Beau’s untimely passing was unsurprisingly an incredibly devastating time for the Biden family.

Joe Biden cited the death of his elder son as one of the reasons he decided in October 2015 against running for president. It was also around this time his younger brother Hunter and his wife Kathleen separated.
Obama touchingly gave the eulogy at Beau’s funeral and had previously offered to pay his medical expenses.
Page Six reports the former Vice President of America confirmed the relationship and said that he and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, have given their blessing to the couple.
In an exclusive statement, he said: “We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support and we are happy for them.”
Hunter Biden added:
“Hallie and I are incredibly lucky to have found the love and support we have for each other in such a difficult time, and that’s been obvious to the people who love us most. We’ve been so lucky to have family and friends who have supported us every step of the way.”
