Ellie Steele was tucking into her packet of cheese and onion chips she bought from an Aldi store in Selby, UK, when she found a little surprise.
A roast potato!
Well, at least we know it really does come from actual potatoes.
The 20-year-old said: “I was just feeling a bit peckish at the time so I thought I’d have my last bag of cheese and onion crisps that I got from Aldi.”
“When I reached in the bag to get a crisp out I felt this large object and pulled my hand straight out because I didn’t know what it was – it was really greasy though.”
“Whatever it is I was pretty grossed out to be honest – now I do find it quite funny, it was just so random.”
The potato must have taken up a lot of space – there were only four crisps in the packet!
“I was pretty gutted to be fair, I’d been looking forward to those crisps for a while,” she said.
We feel your pain, Ellie.
A spokesperson for Aldi said they’d apologised and are looking into what happened.
