The superstar and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness hosted the star-studded Spirit of Australia bash at the city’s Refinery Hotel in conjunction with Qantas and the Australian Government.

Hugh wowed the crowd with a cracking rendition of ‘I Still Call Australia Home’, before leading a spirited round of “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi”.

Guests – including Ivanka Trump, Rupert Murdoch’s former wife Wendi Deng, The Weekly’s editor-in-chief Helen McCabe, fashion editor Mattie Cronan and photographer Michelle Holden, and numerous Australian dignitaries – were treated to a feast of sausage rolls and meat pies prepared by Neil Perry.
