A woman who died in Sydney’s Westmead Hospital last night after an apparent domestic violence incident at Quaker’s Hill is the second NSW woman to die in similar circumstances in five days.

NSW Police allege an argument occurred between a 46-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, who were in a domestic relationship, during the early hours of Monday 27 April 2015 at their home on Hillcrest Road, Quakers Hill.

About 6am on Monday, NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to the home where they found the woman suffering head trauma, serious bruising to her face and a collapsed lung.

She was taken to Westmead Hospital where she died overnight.

A 46-year-old man appeared in court yesterday and it is expected further charges will be laid.

An 18-year-old woman died also died after an alleged domestic violence incident in Brewarrina on Saturday.

About 5.45pm on Saturday police from Darling River Local Area Command were called to a home in Byron Street, Brewarrina, where they found a woman suffering serious injuries.

Additional emergency services were called to assist but the woman, aged 18, died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and investigated by specialist forensic officers

A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Brewarrina Police Station where he was charged with murder and three outstanding warrants.

And in a separate incident, a teenage girl remains hospital after she was allegedly followed by three men and raped at knifepoint at Albury in southern New South Wales.

The 17-year-old girl told police she was walking along the Dean Street overpass, near the city’s central business district, at 6:20pm yesterday when three men began following her.

Police allege the men grabbed the girl and dragged her into nearby bushes where one of the men brandished a knife and threatened her before she was sexually assaulted.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
